What is Secrets in the Pages?

Secrets in the Pages is a rural Victorian indie author event celebrating stories, creativity, and community. We bring together readers, Australian self‑published authors, small businesses, and regional makers in a warm, inclusive space.

Where is the event held?

What time does the event start and finish?

The full program will be released closer to the event date. Expect a gentle, easy‑flowing schedule designed for connection and creativity.

Tickets & Entry

Do I need a ticket to attend?

Yes — all attendees require a ticket for entry.

Can I get a refund if I can’t attend?

No. SITP is a small, community‑run event, and all ticket sales are final and non‑refundable. This includes illness, change of mind, scheduling conflicts, or travel issues.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Yes. Tickets can be transferred at no cost up to 48 hours before the event. Just email the organisers with your name and the new attendee’s details.

Authors & Vendors

Who will be attending?

Our author and vendor lineup will be announced soon. We proudly feature Australian self‑published authors, bookish small businesses, artisans, and regional makers.

Can I apply to be a vendor or author?

Applications open periodically. Follow our Instagram or join our mailing list for announcements.

Are AI‑generated items allowed?
No. All creative work at SITP must be human‑made. AI‑generated writing, artwork, branding, or merchandise is not permitted.

Safety & Conduct

What behaviour is expected at SITP?

Kindness, respect, and inclusion. We do not tolerate bullying, harassment, discrimination, or aggressive behaviour — in person or online.

What happens if someone behaves inappropriately?
SITP may remove any attendee, author, vendor, or participant without warning if their behaviour:
Poses a safety risk
Breaches the Code of Conduct
Disrupts the event
Damages SITP’s integrity

How do I report a concern?
Speak with the event organiser. All concerns are handled confidentially and with care.

 Photography & Media

Can I take photos at the event?
Yes — but please ask for consent before photographing individuals.

Can I photograph children?
Only with guardian permission.

Will SITP take photos or video?

Yes. We will capture images for promotional use.

Health Guidelines

What if I’m feeling unwell?

Please stay home and rest if you have symptoms of COVID‑19, influenza, or any respiratory illness.

Are masks allowed?
Absolutely. Masks are welcome at any time.

Content & Displays

Will there be explicit content?
Some tables may display mature themes. Vendors must clearly label explicit material.

Can children attend?
Yes — but children must be supervised at all times.

Lost Property
What if I lose something?
You can hand in lost items at the organiser’s desk. We hold items for 14 days after the event.
